Illustrative case study. "Global Retail Inc." is a fictional composite used to demonstrate our approach — not a real client. It will be replaced with a verified client story as real case studies become available.

Challenge

Global Retail Inc. saw traffic spike 10x during seasonal sales events, but their existing server-based infrastructure meant either over-provisioning for peaks (and paying for idle capacity the rest of the year) or risking outages during the exact moments that mattered most for revenue.

Approach

We started with a workload audit to identify which services genuinely needed to scale elastically versus which could run on fixed capacity, then designed a serverless-first architecture around the parts of the system that were most exposed to traffic spikes.

Solution

We implemented a serverless architecture using AWS Lambda for compute, API Gateway for request routing, and DynamoDB for a data layer that scales with demand instead of requiring manual capacity planning ahead of each sales event.

Results

The new architecture handled peak traffic without manual intervention, cut infrastructure costs by removing idle over-provisioned capacity, and reduced deployment time from a multi-step manual process to minutes.
